Clonfert Pet farm reopened this April just in time for the Summer holidays. The family-friendly farm is in Maynooth, County Kildare, and is very close to Dublin. We planned to visit over the bank holiday weekend however had to cancel due to bad weather conditions. I cancelled my booking last minute and was rescheduled a booking slot for another date. The customer service here is outstanding and the farm is great value for money.

Just to mention

I recommend booking in advance to make sure you get tickets for the day you want to go.

Where to dine?

There is a nice Coffee shop that sells ice creams, sweets and lunches but if you want to bring your own food or BBQ. Similar to Dublin Zoo, there are plenty of designated food areas for families to picnic.

What to do in Clonfert Pet farm?

The pet farm has a wide range of things to do for the whole family and for all ages. My favourite things to do are visiting the stables and seeing the horses.

The Go-Karts are great there is a mini track for the children to drive around. I recommend dropping by to see the meerkats and to see the peafowl strut their stuff.

I love the leafy walkways and how roomy the farm feels at no point did we feel that we didn’t have space.

Tickets are very reasonably priced and available to book here online.

Clonfert pet farm is a great day out for the whole family and tickets are sold at a reasonable price. Before Covid, this place would be ideal for children’s birthday parties as there is a big indoor playground.
