The government has introduced a new incentive for FREE travel for all children 5 years and under.

Children under the age of 5 are now eligible to travel free of charge on all public transport services. These services include Bus Éireann, Luas, Irish Rail, and Dublin Bus.

The scheme is to provide free travel for all children under 5 years of age. This means if you’re traveling into town on the Luas or taking a dart to Bray you will not need to pay a children’s travel fare.

What if I already purchased a Child Leap Card?

If you have already purchased a child card you will not have to get a refund. The card will still be valid as soon as your child reaches 5 years old.
